Edge Teapot / 139 eur
Designed by Stilleben
Enjoy your tea from Edge Teapot designed in beautiful terracotta. The outside has kept its original matt finish, while the inside is glazed to ensure a sturdy and water-resistant surface. The Edge series is inspired by an ancient Greek-Egyptian tradition for craftsmanship, which is reflected in the amphora inspired foot. The wooden handle and small brass elements contrast nicely with the red-brown terracotta. Not dishwasher safe.

Proper usage and maintenance
Proper usage and maintenance is vital for getting the most out of the valuable resources we have. Our designs are made to last for generations, but just like everything else, they need a little care to get there.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, popular for its superb malleability, hardness, corrosion resistance and attractive appearance.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Brass will tarnish over time, especially if it is not kept dry. Find a suitable brass polish and clean the brass carefully without staining other materials.
Since brass can be quite susceptible to tarnish, small spots might already have occurred on the product when unpacking. These can easily be polished off.
Edge tableware is handmade from natural materials and burned at a high temperature. The color shade and surface of the product can vary from time to time. In that way each piece is totally unique.
Terracotta is a beautiful looking type of earthenware - in this case formed by high-fired clay. Terracotta means “baked earth” in Italian and the pottery technique can be traced all the way back to ancient Greece.
Cleaning and maintenance
The product requires a minimum of care. However, if necessary clean the product using lukewarm or soapy water and wipe with a dry cloth. Be aware that terracotta can be fragile, so take care when moving the item around.
This product is not dishwasher safe.
About the designer / Stilleben
Like the art phenomenon it derives its name from, the design duo Stilleben (’still life’) represents a combination of elements that come together in a harmonious whole. Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Nordentoft have achieved the same harmonious resonance. The two ceramicists met at The Danish Design School, and shortly after graduation they had the idea for the shop Stilleben, which carries carefully selected craft and design objects for the table, the home and the wardrobe. Today, Stilleben is a trend-setting and internationally recognised gallery in the heart of Copenhagen, driven by a clear sense of aesthetic, quality and passion.
