Glazed Porcelain
The crushed local stone from Arita makes the porcelain extremely strong and allows for the design of thin and elegant plates that stack almost infinitely high. The glazed version of ‘TY Standard’ is dishwasher proof, heat- and stain-resistant, microwave safe, but not oven-safe.

About the designer / Pierre Charpin
As one of the leading figures on the French design scene, Pierre Charpin, has an extensive portfolio of product and furniture design for leading international design brands. He set up his studio shortly after graduating from the Beaux-Arts de Bourges in 1984 and has been active as an independent designer ever since. Alongside his design practice, Charpin also exhibits experimental and often research-based objects in limited editions together with Galerie Perkal in Paris, with whom he has worked together since the early 1990s. Pierre Charpin has won several awards during his career and also teaches at the Industrial Design department of ECAL, the renowned University of Art and Design in Lausanne.
