Proper usage and maintenance
Proper usage and maintenance are vital for getting the most out of the valuable resources we have. Our designs are made to last for generations, but just like everything else, they need a little care to get there.
Hot-dip galvanized steel
After fabrication, the steel is hot-dip galvanized – literally giving it a quick bath in a kettle containing liquefied zinc. This creates a thick, matte alloy-coating which ensures superior corrosion protection and high longevity with a minimum need for maintenance.
Although the steel might seem shiny at the beginning, it will quickly grow matte in its appearance when used.
Cleaning and maintenance
Use soapy water and a brush. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents as this may damage the surface.
The product is usable in all types of wind and weather, all year round. However, during wintertime, it is advisable to store the furniture in an unheated room such as a garage or cellar.
Acrisol is a fabric collection characterized by its soft touch and world-class outdoor features.
Made from a 100% dyed fiber acrylic called Dralon®, the fabric is:
- Extremely colour and lightfast
- Water and dirt repellent
- Good at avoiding condensation in high temperatures and humidity
- Abrasion resistant
- Removable and machine washable at 30° C.
Wipe the fabric with a damp cloth. In case of more obstinate stains, remove the upholstery and machine wash it at 30° C with a mild detergent. Do not dry clean it or tumble dry it. Iron the fabric with up to 110° C. For more stubborn dirt we recommend to soak the fabric for one hour in clear vinegar and rinsing thoroughly afterwards.
If the fabric is exposed to heavy rain, we recommend that you empty the seat or take it off and dry it indoor.
