Proper usage and maintenance
Proper usage and maintenance is vital for getting the most out of the valuable resources we have. Our designs are made to last for generations, but just like everything else, they need a little care to get there.
Hot-dip galvanized steel
After fabrication, the steel is hot-dip galvanized – literally giving it a quick bath in a kettle containing liquefied zinc. This creates a thick, matte alloy-coating which ensures superior corrosion protection and high longevity with a minimum need for maintenance.
Although the steel might seem shiny at the beginning, it will quickly grow matte in its appearance when used.
Cleaning and maintenance
Use soapy water and a brush. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents as this may damage the surface.
The product is usable in all types of wind and weather, all year round. However, during wintertime, it is advisable to store the furniture in an unheated room such as a garage or cellar.
Acrisol is a fabric collection characterized by its soft touch and world-class outdoor features.
Made from a 100% dyed fiber acrylic called Dralon®, the fabric is:
- Extremely colour and lightfast
- Water and dirt repellent
- Good at avoiding condensation in high temperatures and humidity
- Abrasion resistant
Wipe the fabric with a firmly wrung cloth. In case of more obstinate stains, remove the upholstery and machine wash it at 30° C. If the upholstery is not removable, the textile must only be washed with a wrung cloth.
About the designer / Isbrand Design
Isbrand Design is made up by the design duo and married couple, Hans & Lise Isbrand. Together, they take pride in NOT cutting corners or choosing the line of least resistance. Au contraire, they think the best way to generate ideas is to challenge each other and themselves constantly. Often, the good ideas are not obvious until they are realized – and that takes a certain patience to test and try out. When Mr. and Mrs. Isbrand have gotten the perfect idea, they cut to the bone and make sure that only the most necessary forms and functions are left.
